Lots of black, white and grey, a little brickwork and lots of light make this Swedish apartment feel fresh, clean and calming. It may appear clinical to some but the minimalist style of every room gives me a feeling of order, everything has a place and there’s no clutter to distract. I find it difficult to get down to work when there’s a stack of papers or some form of chaos around me. The soft furnishings and white washed pine floors give it warmth and cosiness. On the whole it’s quite a traditional apartment; there are Shaker cupboards, bent wood chairs and a vintage black leather sofa but due to its minimal decor and simple palette comes across as very modern.
