The Joseph SS15 collection has already dropped in stores and looking at it yesterday I can tell you it’s a wonderful, well-made and wearable collection. Joseph know that good wardrobe basics are more important than trends but their latest collection isn’t short on character. Louise Trotter and her team have taken denim, linen, jersey, silk and leather; and used them to create Japanese inspired basics. A denim two piece conjured up the image of an off-duty samurai. Stacked bamboo flatforms may well have been inspired by the traditional gets sandals worn by geishas. Moving away from the Oriental theme, grey marl neoprene jersey was used in an innovative way to create separates that were a touch more feminine than the fabric would suggest. A sculpted sleeve top with cinched waist was styled with a below the knee pencil skirt, sports socks and flatforms to create a sports luxe look.
