I have a confession to make, the 1970s fashion trend has been bothering me a little, I’ve just found it a bit dated on the whole. Those attempting the trend tend to look like they’ve raided their parents’ wardrobes rather than reinvented it for today. However, this editorial from Marie Claire Hungary has made me think twice. Molnár has included all the key 70s elements like denim, suede, flairs, flap pockets, shades of brown and big sunglasses but has styled them in way that brings them up-to-date. She’s combined double denim with neutral shades, this seems to be key to reinventing the trend, without looking like you just stepped out of a time machine. Maybe, just maybe I might give it a go.

And how gorgeous is that grey suede jacket, just perfect?
