If you’ve been hiding your head under a pillow, slowly waiting for summer to arrive and hadn’t noticed just how big a trend the off-the-shoulder style has become it might be time to get to the shops, I promise it’ll come in handy this summer. There aren’t many pieces that I would consider equally as appropriate to wear to work (I work in the creative industry) as I would the beach or out for dinner but the off-the-shoulder top is one of those rare pieces, a real multitasker. Dress it down with a pair of jeans and heels, dress it up with a wrap skirt or don a pair of denim cut-offs for a super casual look.

It’s one style that offers a more confident way to show off a bit of flesh without having to ask yourself how much is too much. I’ve picked out some of my top picks in case you prefer to shop from the comfort of your own home. If you’re feeling very creative check out these posts by a pair & a spare for some inspiration and step-by-step guides on how to make your own.

Come back soon to see how I’ve styled my favourite one from Second Female.
