It’s almost time to head down to Provence for our wedding, I’m so excited! As we’ll be staying on in France for a mini-moon post-wedding I’ve been thinking about what to pack and how I want to dress whilst I’m there. What I’m wearing has quite an effect on my mood and I want to feel totally relaxed. We’ll mostly be visiting places with quite a chilled out vibe; like Arles, Saint Paul de Vence and on the Ile de Porquerolles (thanks for the tips Lou) and avoiding some of the more hectic places like Cannes, St Topez and Nice. Most days I’ll be living in a bikini and a pair of denim shorts (the usual suspects) but for those days and nights when I want to change it up a bit I’ve collected together some inspirational images to keep me on track for the Provence look.
White dresses are key, especially in crisp cool linen; I’ve been searching high and low for something just right but haven’t found the one yet (if you have any suggestions please drop a link in the comments below). I’ve already bought a great boater hat from Topshop, it’s the perfect shape for the season and feels quite appropriate for that English girl on the Côte d’Azur look. Leather sandals and anything black, white, blue or off-the-shoulder is a must. I’m also looking forward to having an excuse to wear my new Isabel Marant Etoile wrap skirt and rope sandals.
For bikinis I’ve become pretty obsessed with two American brands, Solid & Striped and BIKYNI, both have lots of classic, timeless styles made in great fabrics. And the denim shorts I’ll be living in are from Hush and AYR.
