If you’re looking for inspiration for your home, wardrobe or beauty cabinet look no further than the Alex Eagle Studio on Lexington Street, in London’s Soho. The collection of art, books, jewellery, homewares, fashion and accessories have been so well curated that it’s a space I would happily move into. It’s calming undertone belies its central location. If you want proof of Alex Eagle’s exacting eye and appreciation for antique pieces, collectors items, artisan products and luxury timeless essentials, it’s all here. I’ve taken quite an interest in slow-fashion and living this year, and for me this store epitomises this kind of lifestyle. Although luxurious, it’s about surrounding yourself with just a few beautiful, well-made items that you treasure and know will stand the test of time.
Eagle is also Creative Director for the hugely successful The Store, initially launching at Soho House Berlin and, more recently, at Soho Farmhouse. Currently, her team are busily working away on the launch of a new The Store, transforming a huge Brutalist building at 180 The Strand into a space for exhibitions and retail, with workspace and broadcast studios. If you went to the Louis Vuitton Series 3 exhibition you will be familiar with the location. It will launch on 9th September with ‘The Infinite Mix‘, an exhibition curated by the Hayward Gallery.
