January is when I  crave the sunshine the most, dreary grey skies and drizzle will do that to you. To torture myself just a little bit more I also love to look at editorials from the southern hemisphere. As Australia enjoys the brighter of the seasons, we are due thunderstorms here in London.

I love Christine Centenera’s simple styling in this holiday inspired editorial. The striped pyjama look which we’re seeing more and more of seems appropriate for a relaxed summer afternoon when loose clothing and crisp cotton are desirable. I’ll often throw on a simple jumper in the late afternoon when the sun starts to go down and you feel a chill on the skin after a day in the sun. Simple dresses with bare feet and no jewellery is something I can relate to, I don’t like to over dress on holiday but rather pick out an easy dress and wander around barefoot until it’s time to head out for dinner.

Gemma Ward’s natural beauty and the barely there styling of make-up artist Romy Soleimani and hair stylist Tomo Jidai are perfect. Loose waves and dewy skin is just the look I want to create when away in the sunshine but I so often end up with a shiny face and messy hair, oh well!
